Dream Theater Reuniting With Founding Drummer Mike Portnoy for 16th Studio Album
It will be their first recording with the bands co-founder since 2009s Black Clouds & Silver Linings.
Gosh. The new Madison Beer album is very good. I only listened to it as I read that musician & songwriter/producer Lowell was involved with producing songs on the album. She’s been involved in other music I really like. Add Silence Between Songs by Madison Beer to that list.
First off, the "bad" news: it's not going to be out in October/in time for Halloween. For the few of you who were hoping to hear it by then, sorry!
Second, it has an official name (though if it takes long enough to come out, even that could change LOL). It will be called The Mechanics of Mysticism.
Currently working on 13 tracks, but it could always shrink, or could even expand a tiny bit.
New album #ProductionDiary! After an untoward amount of time spent futzing with the second track, I finally set it aside earlier this week, then spent a couple days or so working out a way to move forward.
I landed on setting up and recording some jams, with the intention of slicing them up and building tracks out of/on top of them. After a day's worth of setup and troubleshooting, I came up with this:
