CF is amassing a lot of power. With 30% of all Internet Traffic going through CF and them decrypting all HTTPS traffic at the Edge...and able to change any or all of it transparently. This extract from CF's blog reads like a Government/Thread Actor's dream come true....
For anyone unaware, Google Chrome is currently rolling out an update that track your interests based on browsing history, then share them with 3rd party websites. The notification page makes it sound like they added a new privacy feature, but in actuality they automatically enrolled you into their tracking system and you have to go and manually opt out.
Everyone who defends or apoligizes #KiwiFarms deserves to get blocked on sight.

KiwiFarms is literally the acid-filled openpit mine of hate and solely being used by people who get banned from 4chan, 8kun, MumsNet and other shitsites.
Just like blocking all traffic from GeoIP'd ASNs originating from Russia, China and North Korea is usually considered an act of self- and mutual IT defense.
#HE could've chosen to instead force the other providers connecting #AS397702 to DROP them under threat of terminating them as customers, but that would've had actual collateral damages.
It's an act of self-defense against an ASN that is a "#RogueISP"...
If you think that's the first time or the only reason #ISPs haven't #DROP'd them or any other network, then you ignore the existance of #Spamhaus for decades.
I got an email warning from this server - after posting in Irish a number of times over the lifetime of my account here and other folks telling me that it is welcome - that my posts in Irish are NOT welcome on Fosstodon.
Irish is a minority language not heard often, it is extremely important to me, and so this decision means this server is not a place for me. Sadly, despite my long career in FOSS.

I cannot stress enough to podcast hosting companies: DO NOT HOST PODCAST FEEDS BEHIND CLOUDFLARE!
If you do, you MUST create a Cloudflare rule that changes the "Security Level" to “Essentially Off" for all feed URLs. Otherwise, if you host many feeds (especially per-member feeds), most podcast apps will be throttled or blocked from accessing them.
Today in admin news: A certain berlin club had the brilliant idea to automatically send out abuse notices whenever fail2ban notices unsuccessful login attempts in their IMAP logs. Our university chair just got their internet turned off because the uni's central IT got startled by a flood of abuse reports against our IP space. Guess what: Someone here who once held a now deleted mail account at the club still had it set up in their thunderbird, which dutifully tried to poll the inbox every 10min.
I'm more pissed off by #RogueISP|s that refuse to react to duely-made and legitimate #abuse reports.
For example, #GoDaddy literally harbours most of the #Spammers I've to deal with since they don't even bother to react to #AbuseReports at all and instead sent automated replies from a #NoReply adress telling that they won't do jack shite - even if one goes through their arcane #ticketing system to refile as demanded.
@iatendril OFC they can do something about their own customers they host, provide servers and/or domains to and thate are cringe asshats from the USA...
It's just that #GoDaddy decided not to do so explicitly and stating something aling the lines of:
'If you want to complain about a customer of ours spamming, then fuck off and make them stop spamming'...
They are a #RogueISP that knowingly supports #Spammers that illegally spam me.
