I'm getting some issues with #Steam Link and the Oculus Quest 2, never had it before.
Sometimes it just skips some frames or gives me a few frozen milliseconds, not really ideal for recording a rhythm game such as #Ragnarock through #OBS...
Has anyone had the same problem? I'm thinking one of the latest Window patches or NVIDIA's drivers
I bought #Gris and #Stray in the last #Steam sale. I played both a little bit today and I remembered that I have a #SteamLink in storage that I got for ~5 quid some years ago.
It is still supported perfectly and therefore I can play these games on the couch using a joypad...
Ok now I’ve modded my #SteamLink with the MoonLight open source project moonlight-stream.org and I’m playing #BaldersGate3 on the big screen streaming from my PC in the other room, controlled with my Xbox Controller. Computers are just LEGO at this point -it all snaps together
@darth my current setup is only a server receiving measurements from ESP01, having a webserver and providing other network services, totally forgot about the Zero laying around 😃
I bought the 4 for desktop use, but #SteamLink didn't work out over WiFi, so its laying around instead
Ugh, I really love #Valve and the #SteamDeck but today was just one of these days... My #ArchLinux#PC just doesn't open the steam overlay anymore, which is really annoying when using a controller.
Then I tried to play some #Everspace 2 using Remote Play on the Steam Deck. It wouldn't let me set the 1280x800 resolution, and apparently the game crashes when opening the Steam menu. Well, I tried to use the #SteamLink app which didn't crash but just went back to its own main menu.
Alright, I thought, and went to install Everspace 2 locally on the Deck, which went quick because of the new local network transfer feature. While that was downloading, I saw that there is a software update. Hoping that things would improve, I applied it immediately. The system rebooted and it didn't resume the transfer... BECAUSE THE SD CARD WAS GONE.
It actually destroyed the filesystem on the SD card and I had to reformat. Not that big of a deal because I could just redownload everything, but...
Jeez Valve... fix your stuff. They did some amazing stuff, but they really need to focus on bugfixes more.
I had a really nice #LinuxGaming moment last night
I finally formatted one of my 1 TB SSDs as EXT4 to make room for #Steam games on my #ArchLinux install.
Then, I installed Transport Fever 2 and played it through my #SteamLink
And you know what? It just worked. It was a miracle! I just happily played for an hour without even noticing I'm not running #Windows. Zero tinkering. Thanks #Valve. ☺
