DDS was developed by #HP and #Sony at the end of the 1980s, based on the DAT format. It was primarily used for backup storage.
The DG90P pictured here is a DDS-1 tape that can store 1.3GB (up to 2GB compressed). In 1990, the usual hard drive capacity in a personal computer was less than 100 MB.

On the other hand, the Common Desktop Environment was an initiative by #HP, #IBM, #Sun and #USL so I would indeed expect Solaris to look a lot like HP-UX, once the graphical interface is started.
The United Soccer League and ESPN have reached a multi-year extension. There is no word on how long the extension is for or the terms of the extension, but it keeps the USL on ESPN. CBS Sports and ESPN will air 35 games between them on their respective live linear networks.

Last night's #USL loss for Birmingham Legion FC stung. Giving up two goals in the last ten minutes and Juan Agudelo missing an absolute sitter that would have equalized was awful. Still we rise and move on to the next match day #MastodonFC. But, in the battle of the two best 17 year olds in the league, BHMs Matthew Corcoran came out on top by a country mile.

While I absolutely love the idea of having another women's soccer league in the US, I don't know if USL Super League being D1 along with NWSL is the right thing to do.
Will there be teams that will leave NWSL for USL Super League as the latter doesn't have a salary cap? The fall-to-summer schedule is also interesting; given that it would match international league schedules (contrasting NWSL's spring-to-fall schedule).
