He rejected calls to use the supplied weapons on the territory of Russia. There are "clear rules that have been agreed with Ukraine and that are working" for German arms deliveries, Scholz said.
"That's my theory, anyway," he added. The goal of Ukraine policy is to "prevent it from becoming a big war," Scholz added.

RUSSIA STRIKES HARDWARE STORE IN #KHARKIV: Fifteen are dead, and some 43 people are injured after bombs hit the #Epicentr hardware store in Kharkiv on Saturday, reports Reuters. An Epicentr is sort of like a #Ukrainian Walmart. Around 120 people had been inside when the bombs hit.
In response to #russia#Kharkiv assault, #Ukrainian forces are slowly falling back and are now about 5 miles from the border.
Although this tactic allows #Russia to gain ground it means that #Ukrainian forces are able to slowly deplete the enemy's military capabilities, NYT reports.
