From my #BirdNetPi install, which collects bird calls from outside my window, a road runner making their clacking sound (think raptors from Jurassic Park)
I had some time tonight to start working on this silly little project. I'm taking data from my #BirdNetPi and creating a social media timeline of the bird detections from my yard. 🐦
Using #eleventy to grab data once a day to build a social media feed. 😆
Next, trying to incorporate #ChatGPT to compose posts between the species detected to include weather, time of day, and the species identified around the same time period to make "conversations" between the species.
Crazy idea. I'm running this little app at home called #BirdNetPi. It identifies birds based on audio capture outside my window.
What if...I connected this to a CheepCheep.social fediverse instance, then had a bot create a new account for each new species. The bot would create a new post for that account every time the species was identified during the day.
Just posted how I set up #birdnet to work with #homeassistant. This is just part 1 and in part 2 I'll explain how I bring all the sensors (and create some new sensors) into this dashboard.
You can ignore Pirate Weather showing the incorrect temperature. 🥵
I did a lot of projects with @Raspberry_Pi so far, but the most fascinating one is yesterdays implementation of #BirdnetPi ... flashing a fresh 64bit OS and using a 1 line CLI command for a complete set up in 45 minutes https://birdnetpi.com/
