@enog@kayakpatrick There was zero people on the boardwalk earlier - just me & Mom. Then, just me on way back because my Mom freaked the heck out over loud noise in forest & ran like hell, back to car 🤣 She thought it was a bear. It was a raccoon.
It's a cold early winter's day as I walk the boardwalk passing through the dunes to the beach. My mind turns to the many times in the past that I have walked this same boardwalk in much warmer weather. . . .
@msquebanh
That sounds wonderful and from back roads too.
I am fortunate to enjoy exploring the forests, canyons and mountains surrounding my home base.
Blessings indeed.
Oh, thank you very much. You are so kind! Jacksonville is a beautiful place. Like most other grand locales, there's a trade off ... for Jacksonville it's the Florida politics. But for a visit, there's so much to see and do, you may never encounter the down side. 😉🙌🙏
Thank you! And especially for the suggestion. I had cropped the bottom half off, but 2nd guessed myself and went back to the original. I should have listened to that inner voice! Ha! Thanks again! 🙏🙌
One of my favorite things about hiking in Newfoundland in July is when I find carpets of blooming crackerberry. I never quite feel like my photos do it justice, but this is one of my favorites.
