I finally put an animated #Moon observation from 2018 onto #WikimediaCommons, where I observed the Moon one evening and then again the next morning. With a ~7000km baseline due to the Earth having rotated with me on it, the Moon appears under an angle differing by ~0.5°. That is "diurnal libration":

China launches moon probe as space race with U.S. heats up.
CNN reports: "The launch marks the start of a mission that aims to be a key milestone in China’s push to become a dominant space power with plans to land astronauts on the moon by 2030 and build a research base on its south pole."
[#DORN : Objective #Moon] This Friday, May 3, at around 11 a.m., the Chang' E6 mission will lift off towards the Moon with the DORN instrument on board, designed at IRAP under the supervision of @cnes This mission marks the return of #France to the Moon!
Several stages will mark this mission: lift-off, placing in orbit around the Moon, lunar landing, commissioning of on-board instruments, return of samples to Earth.
Il y a 3 semaines aujourd'hui débutait notre voyage au Texas pour l'observation de l'éclipse de soleil. Je vais faire un pouet par jour et sélectionner 4 photos pour chaque jour (ça va être difficile !)
Jour 1 Vendredi 5 Avril : Paris - Houston. Nous sommes arrivés à Houston en début d'après-midi, ce qui nous a permis de faire un tour de ville, principalement avec notre bus. Le voyage était organisé, nous étions un groupe de 33 personnes, tous très sympa ! Nous n'avons pas trouvé d'intérêt particulier à la ville.
5 minutes avant le début de la totalité un gros nuage recouvrait encore le soleil. Mais ça s'est suffisamment découvert pour que nous puissions observer l'intégralité de la totalité, et même voir une protubérance à l'oeil nu ! (sous forme d'un point lumineux rosé). La vue de la couronne solaire est toujours un grand moment d'émotion. Un trou dans les nuages nous a permis de faire de chouettes photo à peu près au maximum de l'éclipse.
