and other Fediverse people, I’ve created an account for myself on SFBA’s new server for book lovers. I’ve imported all of my books from Goodreads, and the import worked pretty well once I figured out how to do it. Only 16 books had issues, so I’ll be trying to add those manually.

Feel free to follow, especially via Bookwyrm (though I’ll answer the door wherever you call home). https://sfba.club/user/stevenray

It's been a year since a bunch of friends and I started the https://fantastic.earth server. We currently have 10 active users and pay about 4.5 USD per month for hosting costs, which includes hosting a and a server as well for our members.

We have two sysadmins and two moderators. Thankfully we have rarely run into system or moderation issues over the last year.

We are invite-only and accepting new members. If you know any existing members personally, ask them for an invite.

Realized today is my first ! Was not much of a user but was drawn to the idea of and the wider : a radical, decentralized vision of the internet being built from the ground up and for the long-term.

I've spent the most time on but I've also joined and too - and I started a couples' account with my spouse (@bunvoyage17).

I've met many wonderful people here - thanks for restoring my faith in the world just a little bit! :D

Can anyone recommend a fedi instance (equivalent of ), hashtag, or group (like @bookstodon) for discussing / ?

Though now I start to think about it, why should they be separate? (like MS/Apple passion for subdividing folders into Pictures/Videos/Music)
