It is nearly impossible to play solo. I failed my first mission on the "Easiest" difficulty because I couldn't figure out how to deal with the bugs that swarm the extraction point.
I "won" my second mission by running in circles avoiding the bugs, since I couldn't kill them fast enough or find and close the holes.
This reminds me why I don't play shooters. Oh well.
I also played a bit of #Destiny as an adult; which kind of broke ground on the whole "Main Story + Post-Story Events + Seasons with story + cosmetics + equipment" as a revenue / play model.
And while nostalgic, I don't play games to be "Challenged" (life is hard enoug!)
I'm still (STILL) sick but I'm finally starting to feel better. But, since I've had plenty of time on my hands, I decided to finally finish the Borderlands games so I can be up to speed for the probably awful movie coming out this year. A thread ⤵️
I couldn't get Borderlands 3 to work reliably on the Steam Deck. It likes to hang up on the title screen when the game signs me into... whatever the hell it signs me into 🤷
So, I guess I'm playing on my desktop. The performance isn't as good as I was hoping for - but the good news is that the performance doesn't take a big hit when setting it to high or ultra settings. It's still 4K with relatively high FPS - it just drops frames all over the place. Not ideal, but I'll survive 💪
I thought it was going to be boring going back to Pandora at the beginning of Borderlands 3... But, after all of that time spent on the moon, it's like a breath of fresh air 😌
I don't remember the Discourse about Borderlands 3. Were people worked up about the amount of purple and gold items there are right at the beginning of the game?
Because, holy shit, almost everything in my pocket right now is purple
Borderlands 3 be one of my favorite games to look at. It's freaking gorgeous! They were finally able to really nail the hand drawn/comic book aesthetic in this one
It has me hooked! The level design is great and the visual design is brilliant. I'm always excited to get to a new map and see what surprises are in store. Like right now, I'm exploring a crashed spaceship in the middle of the jungle while a teddy bear and the ship's AI have a lovers' quarrel. I'm having a blast! :party_parrot:
I finally finished Borderlands 3! 🥳 It was much better than I thought it would be... and much longer! I definitely got my money's worth with this one
I'll post my review of it on here sometime (along with the review for The Pre-Sequel). For now, here are some of my favorite screenshots from the game:
I'm sure people will tell me that it's because I didn't play the games, which is true, but this just seems like the movie would be an insufferable annoyance to sit through.
Just let Guardians of the Galaxy exist, you don't have to make an almost exact copy of it.
I'm sorry we made it gross over a billion dollars okay? I apologize for seeing it twice in the theater, please stop punishing us with this shit.

That title sure is editorialized. Thanks, Kotaku......
