@JoMendacium and I have apparently reached the age where model building is truly cool :P

We are now preparing a diorama. This cardboard thing is essentially the draft and the scaling is still not right. Soon, we will try to implement it with XPS sheets.

We will also be adding LED strips in the background of the shop window, with all that funky stuff! :cyberpunk:​

Does anyone know what ratio of glycerine to water I need to use?
I've seen different ratios, some even using alcohol and acetone instead of water. 🤨
Does the lichen have to be dry or fresh?

Beorn the "skin-changer".

The last of the Hobbit mini's I had, now complete in a display piece.

Representing his ability to change into a great black bear, I have placed him back to back with a black bear.

Beorn mini' is from #MithrilMiniatures, and the bear is Bjornhilda from @FenrisGames

The rest is scratchbuilt.

Goblin Vs. Dwarf.

Diorama build from scratch and using 2 figures from #mithrilminiatures

Thorin Oakenshield faces the Goblin king across a small bridge, lit only by a pair of torches.

An exercise in OSL, not something I do often, but this one turned out quite fun.

Bard the bowman stands atop a burning tower, readies an arrow to shoot down the dragon.

Another #MithrilMiniatures mini' on a scratchbuilt display.
I used a wire to add a string to the bow.

This also includes an LED candle inside the burning tower to give the fire some glow (see the last picture) and flickering.

This trench diorama was built as a prize for a competition on DakkaDakka.

The story behind this section is that it was damaged by some explosion and then repaired with whatever junk could be found.

There's also a lot of small details to give it a lived-in feel.

Close-up views of the Trench diorama.

The junk in the wall includes a coke bottle (an experiment in painting glass containers), a piece of a Predator tank (that I had removed for my conversion), and a skull amongst the rusty metal.

Inside the trench, details include a pencil and notepad near the radio, as well as a mug of coffee and ring stains on the wood.
