I don't understand Adversarial DMing. I'm not trying to kill the PCs every encounter. The more often they succeed the longer the campaign lasts and the cooler stuff I can create. It's a win-win.

Listen, I'm as over 5e as the next person, but my local LEGO store asked me to DM a game night in conjunction with the new D&D LEGO set, and well, I can't exactly say no to that, can I?
This part of the ICV2 analysis of the hobby game channel falling off in sales is strange to me. Were there people saying "I wanted to get the most recent release but they just can't pull box office?" If movie box office negates sales, why doesn't video game sales increase them?
Just to clarify, I'm not saying sales AREN'T down, just that this felt like some strange speculation.
Me: I hope throwing a vampire spawn at the level 4 party won't be too much for them.
Said vampire spawn: gets shatter cast on him, rolls a 1 on his Con save and not only takes full damage but gets blown off the roof and into a pile of crates that we decided were full of rotten eggs

Hasbro schaffen es halt einfach nicht sympathisch zu werden. Chris Cocks. (CEO) im Interview zum Thema AI:

I wonder if the board game aspect of the Dragonlance adventure hurt sales. I don't mean, if the game iteself didn't sell, or even if the bundles with the game didn't sell, but if the book itself would have sold better if the board game never existed.
I can't help but think, even if boardgame wasn't required for the adventure, people felt like it would be incomplete without it, and they weren't interested in the boardgame, so they even skipped the "book only" option.
Kurz mal ausprobiert: #Brancalonia von @systemmatters ist wirklich witzig und zudem gut zu spielen, die passende Stimmung entsteht fast wie von selbst. Viel weniger blutig als das das original #dnd5e, dafür aber um einiges lustiger. Tolle Klassen, wundervolle Welt und immer noch vollkompatibel - toll, wenn ein Spiel die Erwartungen voll erfüllt. #pnpde#dnd#dnddeutsch
