Life if not emotionless, and we are not robots. We express ourselves through facial expressions, tone of voice, body language, and though we are taught to "control ourselves," our inner souls speak strongly with words that need to be heard.
Not all of us are trained or skilled as dancers on the stage, but in the dance of life, we have opportunity to move with strength, purpose, and meaning.
We have the opportunity every day to do small, simple tasks -- from brushing our hair to putting on our socks -- and to take time doing them with a sense of thought and calm. Or, we can rush through them, on to the next task. But that's only if we want to live our lives always, always in a hurry.
One cannot be confident and fearful at the same time -- fear, especially chronic fear, has a way of weakening us, causing us to cower and flinch. But when we opt to push fear -- especially chronic fear -- away, we stand with strength and ease and grace.
