A couple years ago I was fortunate enough to receive a number of 45s from a friend who was a musician in the early 90s. There were a ton of very obscure singles from bands they played with, including this one. I couldn't find any info on the band.
"We had to die" - A history of The Grunge Wars, told by those who were there
«Three decades ago, GN’R’s Use Your Illusion and Nirvana’s Nevermind were released just two weeks apart, setting two musical cultures against each other. We asked combatants from both sides: who won the war?»
I like how Kurt Cobain is to Gen Z how John Lennon was to kids of the 90’s: a great musician from 30 years ago that our parents listened to a lot growing up.
[Verse]
Truth and justice, It's not fair,
Right here, Left there,
Come 'round, Go square,
Either way baby, I don't care.
[Chorus]
I want to hold you tight,
I want to lock you up,
I want to tie you down,
I want to pick you up,
In a flat world, flat world, flat word, it's a flat world.
Flat world, flat world, flat world, it's a flat world.
[Verse]
Hot mustard, cool ice,
Fixed result, roll the dice,
Truth be told, pack of lies,
Raw fish and white rice.
[Chorus]
[Verse]
So close, miles away,
Don't talk, just say,
Bright night, today,
I love you, my babe.
[Chorus]
[Verse]
Truth and justice, it's not fair,
Right here, left there,
Come 'round, go square,
Either way baby, I don't care.
I thought Terry Christian handled it pretty well when one of rocking grunge act L7 decided to strip off during live music show The Word. Mildly #NSFW video.
Another one of those "Did that just happen?" Channel 4 moments at the time.
