I must need therapy.

Here, have the quickly-made MEGAMAP 1, a combination of the new Greater Northshore Connector Bike Map, most of the City of Seattle 2023 Bike Map, and the April 2024 2 Line Connector Eastside Bike Map.

It is NOT SMALL. Printed at native 300dpi, it's right about 26" square, or 660mm square.

it be LORGE

Northshore Connecting Bike Map now on Public Revision 6:

Kirkland's official map - five years out of date - not only fails to show bike lanes that do exist, it shows multiple bike lanes as extant that do not in fact exist. (Or if they do exist, they're invisible on Google Maps, both overhead and streetview.)

Hey can anybody give me authoritative on the bike situation in North Kirkland, particularly 100th Ave NE? Because their map is 5 years out of date and Google's street view alternates between dates in ways that means what bike lanes are there (and I'm confident some are there) flicker in and out of existence for me.

Also their five years out of date bike map shows bike lanes on NE 132nd Street that are absolutely not fucken there

at least not in 2021 and 2024 google images

I'm pretty sure with 132nd somebody went "eh, it has sidewalks, they can use those."

it's also one of the very few ways across 405 so that might be a factor but "bike lanes?" no.

I guess I can mark it as a bike route?

1/2 Today’s bike adventure was a ride with my friend across the lake for some beer & back
-riding Eastrail thru Kirkland
-delicious East Rail Ale at Chainline Brewing
-pretzel was big (Nick’s head for scale)
-we then rode new Totem Lake Connector bridge & back on BGT

Pint glass with the Chainline logo and beer in it on a table with a Chainline Station railroad sign on the side of a caboose in the back
My hand holding a large pretzel in front of a man’s face for scale
Selfie in a red jacket riding bikes with my friend wearing a blue jacket

When did you start your current roll of kitchen foil?

We wrote June 2017 on ours and it still isn't finished.

Talking of , might as well mention that they're about done with the little three-block missing bike link between Burke-Gilman and the West Sammamish River Bridge bike path, which heads south into towards - pavement was down last time I was there and at least some of the signage. No paint yet, but it's supposed to be done pretty soon.

HELP SAVE BOREAL FOREST by calling on Costco to use recycled or forest-free materials in its toilet paper

In the time it takes you to brush your teeth tonight, 's will lose three football fields of .

It's alarming, but the culprit is softer than you think: We're watching the boreal disappear before our eyes in part because uses boreal trees to make toilet paper.

And if you look even higher -- up to our atmosphere -- you'll find another important benefit. The boreal's trees are a , soaking up enough each year to offset the global warming of 24 million cars.

Now, back to . Shelves lined with signature toilet paper can't compare with the beauty and majesty of forested lands in the world's "northern lungs."

Here is the end result.
I will now have to get the parts and build it to make sure they work, then get the parts to my friend to pass on to Jim.
