The same medical devices industry that will make over $70 billion in profits this year uses both the word "noninvasive" and the word "subcutaneous” to describe the SAME device. Said device also includes a component that is attached to the body for two weeks at a time. 🤦♂️
While it looks like something from @NanoRaptor I promise you that this piece of modern medical equipment does indeed feature a mini-USB to double-USB-A cable for ... reasons that I'm sure made sense to the designers. I would love to meet them I have so many questions?
... there's even moulded tabs to make sure it goes in right way around!!!!!

Does anyone ever look around at the world today and think, "Wow, I live in the future"?
We've all got a tiny device that links us instantly to any person on the planet, or even off planet, as the ISS has Internet as well. We can look at a plane in the sky and look up exactly which plane it is on an app.
Then there's medical tech. I have gadgets that can monitor my blood pressure, O2 levels, ecg, weight, body fat composition, pulse, temperature, and more, in my bedside drawer. Things that when I was a kid filled half a room.
An audiologist can adjust the program on my hearing aids remotely without my needing to go in and see them.
I can send all that info to my consultant at the push of a button.
I recently discovered MRI4ALL, an initiative to build accessible and affordable lowfield #MRI scans to be used in low resource settings and low-income countries, allowing people to build their own MRI:
https://mri4all.org/ . They also run an hackathon providing an opportunity for researchers, engineers, and enthusiasts to collaborate on projects related to building their own MRI scanner using #opensource resources put available here: https://github.com/mri4all

"Society expects physicians to be rigorously trained and continually evaluated, and to apply that knowledge with expertise, compassion and ethical standards. Dr. Chatbot, meanwhile, can provide convincing advice, but it can’t tell you where the advice came from, why it’s giving the advice or how its ethical balances have been considered."
