While movements around the world have successfully achieved #mining moratoria, this is an important new strategy for #environmental and #Indigenous#rights activists.
Sometimes I think to myself maybe none of those dangerous risks of power abuse by governments that we think of in civil society come true.
And then politicians in #France propose that social media platforms must remove user content flagged by authorities within 2 (!!!) hours when the country is "plagued by #riots or social #movements". 😠 (1/2)
