Recently it has been so cold here that even the sea froze… with the very low winter-sun that added to a very special and magical coastal atmosphere that is still in my mind two weeks later.
Usually when there is high solar activity there are also a lot of clouds above me… but not tonight!
This is just the beginning, I am very much looking forward to the rest of the night…
It is finally snowing again here and this time it may stay for a while, at least according to the weather forecast.
To honour the occasion here is another image from last week’s photo trip…
Winter is approaching fast, but traces of autumn still remain, and this image that I took at the end of October captures, in my eyes, the turning point of the seasons. Bright autumn colours, enhanced by sunrise, dominate the scene, but hidden in the depths of the image are the first hints of snow. Soon after the colours vanished and white took over (at least for a day)
Since last night’s very high solar activity with awesome probability of seeing the aurora at my home got completely annihilated by not only thick clouds but fog as well, I had to opt for more classical autumn-scenes…
Not quite as spectacular as dancing lights in the sky, but still pretty in it’s own right.
Here is the first of my photos from the recent snowfall.
There is a hill/mountain near me from where one has an awesome view over the region. Getting up there was not easy because of all the snow, but it was worth it.
Right now it is raining heavily and the snow is melting fast, so all that remains from the beautiful snow covered landscape are memories and photographs…
Luckily winter is only just beginning and there will be a lot more snow to come…
I don’t usually use smartphone-images on my channel, but being out in the woods right now is so beautiful, I just have to share it.
Yesterday it snowed quite a bit here (around 30 cm) and since it will be gone again by the weekend, I can’t take too long to enjoy it…
After having to wait a long time to see another moose this guy made more than up for the delay!
I wasn’t even out and about but sitting in my living room when I spotted this moose swimming through the fjärd (Swedish for fjord) in front of my house.
Even though the conditions were not ideal for shooting handheld with a very long lens, I am still quite happy that I was able to capture this moment.
