Zweitwärmster Herbst seit Messbeginn in Deutschland
Erneut waren die durchschnittlichen Temperaturen im meteorologischen Herbst zu hoch. Laut Deutschem Wetterdienst ist es einer der wärmsten seit 1881. Und auch mit Blick auf das gesamte Jahr sind die Meteorologen pessimistisch.
DWD bilanziert: Mit 11,5 °C ist der #Herbst 2023 der zweitwärmste in Deutschland seit 1881 und der 13. zu warme Herbst in Folge. Beim Niederschlag gab es ein Plus von 40 Prozent, bei der Sonnenscheindauer von 25 Prozent - immer im Vergleich zur Referenzperiode 1961-1990. Auch der Zeitraum Januar-November 2023 liegt mit einem Temperaturmittel von 11,2 °C hierzulande auf dem 2. Platz seit 1881.
A unique way to experience the autumn foliage season in Japan is to go to an illumination (or “light-up” / ライトアップ as these events are called here). Tenjuan is part of the Nanzen-ji temple complex in eastern Kyoto, and is one of the most popular "light-up” locations. No tripods allowed, but I still managed to get a few passable shots steadying the camera on the main hall's floor.
