Sadly the crow we tried to help yesterday was put down :( It was struggling to breathe and couldn't use either of its legs or wings. Understandable, but I'm still pretty bummed out. It's my second piece of bad news today :'(

Saw someone on the other site say that a "female" thinking Leibniz "invented calculus first" was a "dating red flag". I have been laughing about it since this morning.

Now I need to know, what physics opinions do you think are dating red flags? Do you ask people about their opinions on MOND on the first date or is that more of a fifth date chat?

I'm approaching my 34th (!) birthday and realising 33 has been a very weird year for me. I did a lot of things I'd dreamt of doing for years (saw the northern lights! An active volcano! Went to the Arctic on a train! Finished my PhD!) but I'm still feeling oddly lost and unaccomplished, and my post-PhD "break" has me wanting to get back to work. Maybe it's because for the first time in a long time, I have no idea what's next?
