This might be an odd thing, but I love seeing art by people who've only just started doing art. When you're a complete beginner you're so unencumbered by the limitations of what you're "good at", and it leads to such interesting choices! I wish I could re-capture that attitude.

I don't know if posting this on here will help, but I found out that some people tried to contact me on an email address I no longer have access to, due to an out of date student page.

I only know about a few missed emails but not all of them. So if anyone has tried to contact me about work-related things in the past couple of months and didn't get a reply, that is most likely why!

What's an experiment, object etc. that's had a deep impact on you?

I was just thinking about the first time I saw a Crookes radiometer, back in my first year of undergrad. They were so intriguing and delightful, and we were left to figure out how they worked by ourselves. I read all about them and the early incorrect theories when I got home that night.

It was really the point when I realised physics didn't take magic away by explaining how things worked; it made the mundane more magical.
