The carp-shaped Koinobori wind socks (also known as satsuki-nobori) are flown in Japan to celebrate Tango no sekku, or Children's Day each May 5.

I painted my fantasy of an idyllic growing up version for my brother and I. The reality is that we had a very difficult childhood. I can't wait to be close to my brother soon, as I move back to Greece after 26 years abroad, and never part again.
