Hi there fellow mastoadmins
What do you do about media getting out of hand? I have ~1TB of media now, because I disabled the auto removal of it. I noticed that the automatic refetch of media was not working.
Is it working on your instance? Do you have the automatic removal on?
(By auto removal I mean this command tootctl media remove)
I just saw, that fedidb now has data for the biggest fediverse accounts, so I did a little plotting with it.
Here is a graphic of the scattering of the 100 biggest accounts by the instance they are on.
@Gargron Why is mastodon not federating favourites (or likes in AP terms)? Lemmy and mbin/kbin do and it works fine. I know it would be more work for the servers, but at least the option should exist for admins to turn it on, shouldn't it?
@darktable Is there a way to migrate a database from Windows to Linux? I disabled the sidecar files (because I didn't want to clutter my folder and nextcloud), so I cannot rely on that...
I have the same files on the same hard drive, but that is obviously not on the same path as before...
@darktable
Thanks for the reply, I'll check that link out :)
By "the same files on the same hard drive" I meant the pictures in my library. My windows and the darktable db on there haven't been touched.
@technology
But the upvote counter doesn't seem to sync properly... So the favorites on mastodons site are not correct. That Lemmy doesn't have the correct number is completely normal I think, because its not the originating server and therefore the favorites do not propagate to it.
Hello fellow #mastoadmin ,
I noticed, that there are no trending posts on my server, like ever. I have a bunch of trending hashtasgs and news though...
Is anyone experiencing that, too?
I tried @darktable today and I have to say it is complicated 😅
It is really capable, but I think one has to get used to it...
Is there a way to not have darktable save a .xmp file for every imported photo? That is something I'd really want
