Does anyone know if a graphic or animation was made to visualize a consent-based network or communal network to help visualize this concept? I want to make one, but I wanted to see first if it already exists! @ophiocephalic @thenexusofprivacy maybe you all would know?

thanks! I may have mentioned this but I'm writing an article about the free fediverse movement and the politic of openness, and the role of safety and security in challenging surveillance capitalism. But alongside that I am interested in making some kind of animation to help people better understand the idea! I feel like it may be useful :)

@dedsyn4ps3 hi thanks so much! So I have kinda two things going on. One more urgent than the other . 1- the links don’t work because they say they aren’t secure /something expired. I tried fixing it on Namecheap.com (where I got the urls years ago) by updating SSL certificate? But It still isn’t working and I’m clearly doing something wrong !

It got announced today that university is not only cancelling an art show by a Palestinian artist that has been planned for over 3 years now but has also suspended a tenure professor for supporting a student facilitated pro events. @nm @folkerschamel this data sounds misleading but I may be wrong. This wouldn’t account for users apart of instances that don’t support the federation of threads which the number of users of course far outweigh the number of servers. It’s kind of confusing to change servers, some people may just be on their server cuz they haven’t changed yet. Or don’t like threads federating but don’t care enough to put in the effort of changing servers. Thoughts?
