The garden is now finished. Well, all the shit I trimmed today is now in a bag waiting for me to be arsed to take it up the tip.

The lawn looks like ass because it’s No Mow May, and apparently my lawn contains no wildflowers, just shitty weeds that grow fat, spiky leaves.

Listening to Craig Charles’ show on , and once again he publicly admits to carrying two pounds of funk in a bag rated for only one pound, and once again I ask why my complaints to the BBC and the HSE are going ignored.

Also, he needs to be careful when advertising his quantities in imperial measures.

Pausing the show on to break for news bulletins makes as much sense as how the BBC used to split a movie in half so they could go to the news at 10.

The joy of driving around the New Forest at this time of year is taking literally half an hour to drive one mile out of Beaulieu because, as it turned out, there were five ponies just strolling along the road, including a foal who was doing a Very Good boing.

I think it speaks very well of my ability to avoid news and sport that until I just heard a trail for it on 6 Music, I had absolutely no idea that today was the FA Cup final.

Disc brakes are one of the greatest things to ever happen to bikes, but I'm not sure everyone knows that disc brakes does not mean hydraulic brakes.

I've only used mechanical disc brakes. It's just a cable. They work so well on my mountain bike I can lock up with one or two fingers on the steepest hills.

I'm sure hydraulic brakes are great for someone but for me it sounds unnecessarily complicated.

@billyjoebowers I have hydraulics on my ancient Kona, and when they’re working they’re the best fucking brakes I’ve ever, ever experienced.

When they’re not (which is always), they’re screechy, squashy shit.
