I have finally departed the site, after twelve days of build-up, festival, and teardown (though teardown continues with the amazing people who can keep going).

I'm exhausted physically but mentally energised, and already missing all my friends but also looking forward to 2026. I'd say I'm heading home, but in many ways I am leaving home, and I will be back there with everyone in two years' time.

Needed to disable secure boot in the UEFI to get Pop to install, but went smoothly after that.

I hadn't realised what a difference the 16:10 ratio makes. The 165Hz(!) refresh rate is disturbingly good.

Sound, WiFi, Bluetooth, keyboard lights, all working.

Happy to answer any reasonable questions about it.

Speakers are louder than my previous ones although you won't deafen yourself through it. I can feel the bass in my legs, but it isn't thumping. Voices are clear.

OK! I've got @pop_os_official installed on @frameworkcomputer and everything... just works!

Still need to get used to the new keyboard layout and remember all the little shortcuts I use, but very happy so far.

I'm hoping I can find a way to hook it up internally. Not much space, but that's a challenge for the future.
