I have a life announcement! 📣

I’m going back to University! ( At 37! )

The program is self paced, online and all of my accessibility accommodations have been approved!

I’m excited to be able to take asynchronous courses in a supportive environment.

Day 1 is May 1st!
I’m studying Psychology & Philosophy.

I plan to attend Graduate School afterwards and become a Registered Psychologist in Alberta so I can do Autism assessments (and more), and provide a safe place for folks. 🏳️‍🌈

Sonic 3 & Knuckles

The 2 in 1 cartridge game!

I count Sonic 3/Sonic and Knuckles as one full game.

The Death Egg has crashed on Angel Island. Sonic and Tails go there. Knuckles enters (with his own campaign)

Knuckles demonstrates his one time power of punching the Chaos Emeralds out of Sonic.

Millions dread at Carnival Night's cylinder platforms.

Get even more emeralds if you dare. You're in for the long haul.

Arctic Adventure

Your previous adventure no longer exists.

Since you apparently just imagined the Pharaoh's Tomb, why not explore and find the treasures of a viking fortress found within the ice or something.

But you get a little overworld map this time with some choices as to which order you play the levels in. Collect a lot of ice picks to break the ice or start a conversation about it.

Lots of traps, lots of death, lots of ice.

Monuments of Mars

Earth's aloof planetary neighbor.

NASA keeps sending astronauts to Mars but they never come back. I mean you'd probably want to stay off of Earth too.

An ancient DOS single-screen platformer that only has its own level design to carry it. You mean there's CGA games worth playing? 4 colors are all you need.

Push blocks, collect the letters of MARS, and zap some aliens. Lives are limitless!

You got a tentacle thing that clings to ceilings and tries to float. You got an overly possessive cat that does triple jumps. You got a little green borb that.. does... things.

Every stage comes with an extra requirement to get another macguffin and a chance to say I did another Kirby.

Kirby's Adventure

Don't let your dreams be dreams

One of my top favorite NES games that really showcases what Kirby is all about. Consuming the enemy, acquiring their power, coming up with a variety of ways to go through levels and solve the mystery of a broken Star Rod.

I like the wheel, the hammer, and the UFO. I mean they're all good except sleep. Mess around with minigames for extra lives and try to find those big switches eh?

I appreciate games creating seasonal content, but I'm old enough to think that normal holidays are overdone.

IMO games should make up their own holidays and celebrate them instead.

Kirby's Dream Land

The adventures of a spherical marshmellow demolishing the monarchy

This was before he could copy enemy abilities by swallowing them and the game is pretty bare bones.

At any rate, King DeDeDe has stolen all the food which Kirby clearly enjoys so I guess you better get it back huh? Literally famine here.

Any other Kirby game has more replay value and content but this title will always have a place in history.

My cat Teela is going to the vet today, she is acting very weak and hasn't eaten or drank much over the past day or two as far as I can tell.

The Princess Rescue 3

Who says a princess can't save the day?

Now you can play as Peach and Daisy as they rescue Mario and Luigi from Bowser and Tatanga.

Shoot your fireballs at an upwards angle, double jump with the cape. You also have your Mario 2 jumping what with the floating and the crouch charging jump. Level design accounts for all this of course.

Another banger from that bandicoot fella for sure.
