The concept of transformation in fiction has always interested me. How seemingly normal people transform and take on awesome--and sometimes, monstrous--aspects. From werewolves to He-Man and She-Ra its a theme that persists.

I guess America's current presidential election is America deciding on which individual better represents America's fears and hopes.

America elected a Hollywood movie star & Death Valley Days TV host as President, and followed that up with A "reality" TV star/Huckster. Shatner "narrating" the eclipse seems to be a given. In the future (next year?), it will be an AI Shatner narrating a Deep Fake Eclipse, because TV ratings demand a sequel. 🥴
Red Hats are even lower on survival rate than Red Shirts. One Red Shirt made it back from the mission. She was commended by the Captain and, um, was bumped up in rank. 🤔
