Jiggle_Physics,

71% of the US population is white.

Jiggle_Physics,

even with white people’s population plateauing, white people will be the largest single group for a good while. Also, while we are seeing the largest total growth from the latino population, and the largest growth per capita being asian, all demographic’s fertility rates drop after their family has been here for ~3 generations as they adjust to the cost of living. So we have white people as the most influential group for quite some time to come.

But, yes, people who identify as conservative republicans make up about 30% of the population. However, due to awful voter turn out, they represent much closer to 50% of the population that actively votes, because they are far more likely to do so per capita. So it will also be a while before their level of influence declines. That is, unless, we suddenly convince 60% of the population to take voting seriously.

The left image existed in the home of wealthy people, or their kids’, living in trendy, high end, neighborhoods. The black and white minimalism, and the Memphis School style, was out there. It was in Manhattan penthouses, and LA hills mansions.

No. They are saying if group A, who has a long history of widespread pedophilia protection is going to get in, group B, who’s biggest issues are these, isn’t worth proactively trying to stop, especially when they both align on the principal at hand.

Jiggle_Physics,

They don’t want to be their either, the point is to force the state’s hand to either back off on religion in school, or have them pass unarguably unconstitutional laws and then rake them over it. There is also no perfect hero, or solution, so I am willing to not appose an organization that is working towards getting both parties kicked out, despite being run by assholes. They are just assholes, the other are monsters.

Jiggle_Physics,

It isn’t awesome that her life is so miserable that, even though she has spent decades exhausting all medical treatment options, she still wants to die. What is awesome is that there is a comprehensive and humane way for her to end her suffering that assures this isn’t a rash decision, gives her loved ones a time frame to come to terms with it, and provides a situation where they do not have to deal with the aftermath of doing it herself.

Believe it or not, there are a lot of people out there who’s lives are nothing but pain and suffering. Pain and suffering despite seeking out all possible means to relieve themselves of this pain, and finding that none exist. Pain that isn’t going to end, and not having a life worth living to look forward to. There are also a lot of people out there that have loved these people and realized that, though it hurts them, the suffering the person they love is going through is far worse, and will not get better. Sometimes it is more selfish to demand someone not end their life than it is for them to do so.

You clearly have not actually been in this position, even if you have been suicidal before. Maybe you should admit that you don’t know everything about this, and let people have a humane way to stop their suffering.

Jiggle_Physics,

You still don’t get it, they saying aren’t suicide is awesome. So you continue on with your misinterpretation.

Jiggle_Physics,

My mom’s is the most basic she can get in her area, and it costs 218 dollars a month.

Jiggle_Physics,

it is, without the package, it is $30 a month though. She gets phone service from someone else.

The problem that brings up the idea of no good cops is, if these 23 other cops are good, and this one is bad, why is there still the bad cop? Why do the other 23 not push that bad cop out?

Jiggle_Physics,

The big point of parentification is that it is forced on the child by their parents. The role of sub-parent to siblings is assigned via negative means. This is often in punishment for not performing that role. This can manifest as verbal and mental abuse, such as guilt tripping, neglect where the parent doesn’t do what is needed until the parentifide child does it out of necessity, and can go as far as full blown violence.

This reads more like the OP saw that their sister was in desperate need of help, and decided to take it upon themselves to do whatever they can to help her.

Jiggle_Physics,

Send them to Somalia, where they can experience a truly small government country with very conservative social views.

Jiggle_Physics,

Well firing them into the sun is extremely difficult, and resource intensive. Sending them on a one way trip to Somalia isn’t. There are plenty people who are far more radicalized than them there as it is. So they can go be radicals in Somalia, where they have no influence, power, protection, and most will hate them as a default. They will most likely just never be heard from again.

Jiggle_Physics,

poorly drawn hair from a shoestring budget cartoon that only existed to sell toys

Jiggle_Physics,

Eh, my word choice there sucked, more to sell merch. There were toys, records, clothing, bed sheets, posters, and on and on and on

Jiggle_Physics,

It’s a drastic disparity. Men do 80%+ of violent crime, 95% of murders, and 95% of sexual violence, with the caveat that we know, for sure, is severely under reported.

Jiggle_Physics,

yes 80+% of violent crime is perpetrated by men. 95% of murders are done by men. 95% of all sexual violence is done by men, and this comes with the caveat that it is highly under reported.

Jiggle_Physics,

Correct.

Every time a woman gets attacked there is a large contingent of the population who start to blame the fact that they weren’t living under the assumption of being in danger from men. In this post’s comment section you can see people making comments about not carrying a gun, not taking self defense seriously, etc. These are also often people who are in the “not all men” crowd. So women are shit on both for treating men like a danger, while also being shit on for not doing just that. People will also demand that women, in any social environment, discuss the subject in a dispassionate, and clinical, manner, or in a warm and friendly manner, in which the subject, men, are treated with kid gloves. Who gives a shit that this has left the person speaking with life long trauma issues, you better be nice about it, or it’s your fault nothing changes. This is the type of thing that is the problem here. This isn’t the only commonly seen way women are forced into a catch 22 situation. Society has pushed them into an impossible situation where, no matter what they do, they are wrong. I think society, especially men, have to come to terms with just how insanely prolific harassment, and violence, directed at women, primarily from men, is.

Another trend you commonly see, when this topic comes up, is people doing any mental gymnastics possible, to either claim it’s way blown out of proportion, while all people who work in, or study, this subject are pretty much in universal agreement that the reality of it is actually far worse than what we have on record. That, or they cry “but men too” ignoring that men are far less likely to be on the receiving end of this behavior, and also primarily victimized by other men when they are. When I was doing data analysis for the corrections system I found out (through experts on the subject, I didn’t discover this) that, while disparities in antisocial behaviors within different demographics of people based on things like, race/ethnicity/culture/etc., narrow as the economic, and societal status, disparity of that demographic narrows, the same cannot be said for the disparity between men and women. While men of good economic, and societal, standing are less likely to act in antisocial ways over-all, the disparity between them, and women in similar standing, stays roughly the same.

Without society, men in particular, coming to an understanding about this, rather than too just knee-jerk reject it, claiming so many reasons, that seem logical on a very surface level, to “prove” their position, we will never be able to truly begin to tackle the issue at hand. The deepest rooted, worst issues, are between men and women, but men are also the reason for that proportion of violence, and other antisocial behavior, towards men. Where men are more often the victim than women, such as murder, men are also responsible for the vast majority of it. The societal structures that encourage, at least on the environment side, this at a systemic level are also the product of men being largely in control. We have greatest control over the creation of an array of cultures, the most prevalent of which, at the very least, create an environment that allows this continue, sometimes even promoting aspects of it. In order for this to happen men, collectively, are going to have come to terms that the women’s side of this conversation will often have hostility, and many other negative emotions, woven into it, because they are relaying their trauma. While speaking about deeply, personally, emotional things, It is not realistic to expect anything else.

Jiggle_Physics,

Huh, so I looked up the top 100 arms manufacturers in the world. 41% of them are the from the US, with the entire top 5 being from the US. The next biggest are china with 8%, and the UK with 7%.

Jiggle_Physics,

Bankrolling a genocide is the next worst thing you can do after actually executing one.

Look, as someone stuck with a corporate, colonialist, party, and a straight fascist/theocratic party, I feel fucked. However, everything I am mad bad will only be worse not voting for Joe. The DNC has spent decades., and untold amounts of money, supporting more, and more, radical republican candidates so that they can hold us in this exact position. The only way I see out of this is from the ground up. Last year I joined a local political group that works to inform people on a variety of ways to break the two party system. It’s the last play before the diplomatic impasse is so adamant that nothing short of violence will change anything. I found it surprisingly easy to find organizations working for a variety of voting reforms I can get behind in my state simply by searching “voting reform advocacy groups in (my state)”.
