When I went to graduate school, I had to be revaccinated for measles. They told me that people vaccinated between 1963 and 1967 received a faulty dose and may NOT be protected. Please do what's necessary to protect yourself NOW before something bad happens.

@StillIRise1963 I seem to remember being re-vaccinated at about age 10-11. There may have been a public health push when the faulty vaccines were uncovered?

@StillIRise1963 It was memorable! My family was friendly with our pediatrician socially. So he came to my house to give the vaccine and they had to catch me, as I ran away in fear! My younger sister didn't have to get one, she was born in 1969.

Is there anyone reading this who could give a talk on "Math(s) and Artificial Intelligence"?

It would need to be aimed at a general audience, so while the material itself doesn't need to be deep, the person giving the talk would need to have some first-hand experience of the actual math(s) that's involved.

I don't know why people expect Large Language Models to be good at math.
It's like when our students just memorize tons of problems without any deep conceptual understanding and spit back whatever they think of first...

Someone in the @TMiP WhatsApp group told me about a TikTok game where you're shown a sequence of five numbers, and have to guess what order they go in.

I've made my own version of it: https://somethingorotherwhatever.com/number-order-game/

"Order those numbers! You'll be shown five numbers, between 100 and 999. Try to guess what order the numbers will go in, from smallest to biggest." I'm shown 995, 164, 706, 576 and 227, and place them in 5th, 1st, 4th, 3rd and 2nd positions. Then it says "You did it!"
