I recently realised that the most used item I knitted myself, is this small twister bonnet. My daughter wears it all the time, so it is probably about time to make a new and little bit bigger one.

And it seems this one is now lost, or at least not to be found, so I'm casting on a new one immediately.

Used 100% cotton for this one, when it is really cold I put on this bonnet which has strings to attach it securely under a thicker hat.

Shawl is just under 2/3 done (this ball of yarn is 150g) but I might have to stop knitting out here on the warm sunny deck before my dog melts. ☀️🌡️🐕🥵

In the foreground, my knitting is draped over the arm of my fake wicker chair. I'm knitting a self striping shawl that has green/blue as the most frequent colours but there are bright stripes of pink and orange that draw the eye. In the background, Hatch doggy is lying on the deck periodically licking a cow hoof by his nose.
A self striping ball of yarn in greens and blues is sitting on a digital scale that reads 56.8g. there's a large paper tag inside the ball which may be adding a bit of weight to the total.
Hatch, a black lab mix dog, is lying on his back in the sun with his back all "wiggly" and his front feet curled up. You can see the white blaze on his chest and the bits of white on his back toes, as well as his more pink groin and armpits where there is less hair.

The Cowl of Many Mistakes & Subsequent New Directions is at last being blocked before grafting it together. Did you ever think this would happen? #knitting @knitting

Full view of the cowl now stretched out on mats along the floor, the kitchen cabinets & washing machine visible at the top of the photo, a floral mat in front of the cabinets next to the washer. The cowl has been unrolled right to left with the mouse on the right. The mouse section takes up about a quarter of the cowl, the next quarter to the left being the turquoise yarn knitted in a tear drop stitch. The left half of the cowl is also done in tear drop stitch, but in a variegated yarn that has a colourway of turquoise, green, dark reddish purple, & gold.

Self striping shawl progress!

I swatched a few different lace options but they all felt like I was fighting with the stripes, so I decided to highlight them instead with a simple slip stitch+purl pattern. So far it feels like it's made the mid-row colour transitions look pretty natural too! 🧶

Finished - Stephen West's Corrugation Shawl, made from a 50/50 blend of wool and silk, made by Noro. I'll take another pic and post once it's blocked and dried!

Instead of working one of my myriad of WIPs, I have started and finished the cozy Julle Hat, bought yarn to do another so I can gift this one, and bought / wound Malabrigo Rasta for this hat for the little girl i mentioned the other day. Fast knits FTW, to help me get my knitting mojo back. #knitting #FiberArts @knitting

Have finished the first repeat pattern on the Goblin Market socks. The first part of the pattern after the ribbing (which would be the bottom of the knitting in the photo) is made of lace & bobbles while the next part is all cable. Altho the lace part looks larger than the cable, it's the same number of stitches.

Such a weird thing to happen.

This is what I get for following a pattern to the letter.

Love it already.

Made the swatch flat, instead of in the round. Also because I wanted to find out if doing colourwork flat is really so horrible. It's not so bad, I think?

I like that the yarn has a bit of shine to it. The yellow-green is nice I think.

On to bind-off and blocking, to get good measurements, hopefully.
