Legal question: If a private college calls out cops to get rid of protesters and the major intervenes and tells the cops to stand down, would the school have a cause of action against the city if something happens?
@BlackAzizAnansi yeah, but you'd have to have a cause of action to sue the police. Generally suits against police involve 42 USC ยง1983 which allows you to sue cops for a violation of a constitutional right (if memory serves, it's been more than a decade since I practiced law). Otherwise most cop behavior/action is protected by "qualified immunity" against civil suits.
I see a lot of stripped arcade cabinets given away for free on Craigslist, and it makes me wonder why people are stripping arcade machines of their internals.
What do they do with the internals? What do they use them for in absence of the cabinets?
how about a smart watch that's a little bit larger, like a 3in screen, and without the wristband, and it has its own sim card so you don't need a big phone in your pocket?
#30daysOfBiking carried partner and kid home from after-school errands on the xtracycle. Really should be taking the tandem+trailerbike as better able to carry them both but partner doesn't like the forced pedaling of being chained to my crank. 10yo kid prefers the supercargo, like an absolute princess, but I don't have a great rear seat (footrests) arrangement for partner on that. ๐ค Maybe there's a madsen with electric stoker treadles in my future. Or xtracycle the edgerunner...
