He lacks emotions. He can’t understand what others are feeling because he doesn’t feel things. He was built and developed with the human colonists where Soong worked. He lived with them, and their input shaped his programming; he was not kept in isolation apart from the society around them (though he did have those memories wiped when Soong implanted the memories of the colonists when the Crystalline Entity attacked). The only thing he lacks is an emotional understanding, since he has no emotions.

I’ve had plenty of plant based things that taste perfectly like the meat they are simulating. The problem was texture; which is one thing among many others this lab-grown meat is supposed to remedy because it is real meat that instead of being grown on/in a living creature, it was made in a vat of magical science liquid.

I’ve lived in California my entire 39 year life. Every summer has been fire season as long as I can remember. It’s only weird that people started giving a shit about the smoke in the last 5 or so years.

Wildfires are not only common, they are necessary. The only reason we stop them is because we build things too damn close and we want to protect lives and property.

If they could learn that quickly and perform the job that fast, that’s a skill. Could everyone get up to speed and start producing things that quickly? I’ve worked plenty of factory jobs. Most of them aren’t simply pressing a button mindlessly, and your speed is a factor. Work faster, produce more, you’re employing a skill others may not possess.
