I, for one, loved this thing. And the only reason I was ever able to own one was because of their downfall also coincidentally happening about the same time EB Toys was going out of business, so I was able to get the Virtual Boy and most of the games for under $50 due to the extreme discounts.

I’m thinking more about the spicy bite than the flavor.

How to work with someone that regularly arrives as the wrong answer?

I work with a person that went presented with a problem, works through it and arrives at the wrong solution. When I have them show me the steps they took, it seems like they interpret things incorrectly. This isn’t a language barrier, and it’s not like they aren’t reading what someone wrote....

My wife told me, “please go to the store and buy a carton of milk and if they have eggs, get six.”

When I came back with 6 cartons of milk she said, “why in the hell did you buy six cartons of milk?”

I said “they had eggs.”

Sometimes being extremely specific helps some people understand. Anything that could have multiple meanings is always open to some interpretation. And while it would be nice if they asked for clarification, they may not because they think they fully understand the instructions.

I always wondered if Steven Hawking was ever actually a guest on The Simpsons or any other cartoon he appears in. Surely he had the easiest voice to fake back before modern robo voices and AI.

I have to assume you’ve only seen the Spider-Man movies of recent years and not the comics, the original live action show, or the 90’s animated series.

All of those go well into Peter Parker’s adult years and he’s a much more likeable character. I don’t particularly like what they have done to him in the modern stuff (outside of Spiderverse since Miles is a totally different person anyway). It doesn’t help that it’s been rebooted 3 times so all they’ve shown is his origin story a bunch of times. I can’t stand modern Spidey, either. And it’s extra infuriating because Spider-Man is my favorite.

Every product that comes with individually wrapped pairs or triplets is like this. They tell you how many individual consumables are in the box in huge font, with clarification that it’s 2xX or 3xX in tiny unreadable font.

It’s shitty as fuck.

What I found when I first learned about DVORAK and other layouts and why we use QWERTY, there were some studies that had shown that there wouldn’t really be any significant increase in proficiency using different layouts, and the time needed to readjust to a new layout just isn’t worth it.
