@larsmb sehr geehrtes Wahlvieh. Wie laden Sie mal wieder dazu ein Ihre Zeit mit dem Wahlvorgang zu verschwenden nur damit wir dank Lobbyismus und Zu alten Wählergruppen dann sowieso was anderes machen als wir versprochen haben.

Nachdem mir heute gesagt wurde, ich sei "so gut mit Linux", erzähl ich euch mal, wie ich meinen Nachmittag verbracht habe. Thread! 🧵

Wenn ihr mögt, gebt Ratschläge, aber wundert euch nicht, wenn ich nicht reagiere. Bin angenervt.

Ich habe nen Fujitsu ScanSnap S1300i Duplex-Einzugscanner. Früher hab ich unter Windows den proprietären Treiber benutzt, um in PDFs zu scannen, mit OCR. Wenn ich mal nen Kassenzettel scanne, erkennt die Software das und macht automatisch ein sehr schmales PDF daraus.

Now that I have paperless-ngx running and my is working, any suggestions for a software for ?

I have an ADF duplex scanner and will mainly scan b&w ("lineart"), but sometimes in color, too. Output files should be PDF, OCR is optional. I need to be able to remove empty back side pages.

Is there anything that supports different, auto-detected page dimensions in a single PDF as well as auto-cropping and skew removal?

@scy For me... i set up an SMB share on my Nas. Scan to that directory and take the Scaned "pdf/picture" to Paperless.
Everything else failed spectacular until the point that i can't use a scan software anymore because i borked something

@scy i use a Brother ADS-2700W so it's a full blown document scanner. I thought you might use something similar as a flatbed or something.
Or do you use an actual USB Only Scanner?

@scy @neingeist so as you are way better with Linux than i am:
I used simple Scan in the first place which worked okayish and then tried gscan2pdf which from overall what it had to offer was more of what i was looking for. Sadly as said i borked it somehow and.... things went downhil from there.

I would look into gscan2pdf but if it only should scan and give you the output use simplescan :)

Most of it isn't really funny anyway, and on top of that disinformation and fake "facts" are some of the biggest problems we as a society face these days.

@scy ach... Vor 20 Jahren oderso gab's mal ne Zeitungsente das sie nen uboot durch d n mittellandkanal überführen. Da sind meine Eltern und ich noch hingefahren um dann fest zu stellen... Das das wohl ein Aprilscherz war.

Damals war das noch okay. Harmlos quasi. Aber vieles ist dann auch irgendwie doof geworden heute :(

TIL dass meine alte Schule, das Geschwister-Scholl-Gymnasium in , abgerissen werden soll. 😔

Ich glaube, das gern auch mal liebevoll "Tiefgarage" genannte Gebäude war alles andere als unschuldig daran, dass ich ein großer Freund des bin.

Werd dich vermissen, altes Haus.

Foto entlang der Längsachse im Erdgeschoss. Fußboden aus mehrere Meter langen Waschbeton-Platten, eine weiß verkleidete, abgehängte Decke, vielleicht knapp 3 Meter hoch, mit eingelassenen quadratischen Leuchtstofflampen. Ca. 120 m weit weg, am anderen Ende des Gebäudes, zwei gelbe Flügeltüren. Seitlich gehen links Buchten mit Schließfächern ab, rechts führen Treppen ins Obergeschoss. Ein paar hölzerne Tische im Vordergrund, am linken Rand eine Fensterfront zu einem kleinen Atrium. Die Betonwände und -pfeiler sind größtenteils bunt bemalt. Eine einzelne Person steht ca. 100 m weit weg vor einer Wand, abgesehen davon ist niemand zu sehen.

@scy ach ich weis nicht. Ich könnte / kann mir schon vorstellen das schüler heute immernoch ihre Schulen nachbauen würden. Es gibt nur einfach kaum/keine populären spiele wo sich Modding Lohnen würde.

UT? Tot. Counterstrike? Nurnoch competitiv. Moddingszene auch quasi tot. Call of Duty? Seit ewigkeiten keinen MOddingsupport mehr. Battlefield auch nicht. Wofür würde man denn so eine Map bauen um sie mit den Kumpels zu spielen?

Der finale Tropfen, weshalb ich chaos.social verlassen habe war, dass @markusreuter für das Verbreiten der Correctiv-Recherche verwarnt wurde.

Hey Chaos und Künstler oder beides.
Nachdem mir der "metalurge" für meine Eheringe abgesprungen. Wir hatten schon einen guten Plan aber er keine Zeit mehr. (neben Gewerbe)

Kennt jemand von euch einen guten Goldschmied oder ist sogar selber einer der sich auch abseits von Gold auskennt?

Es geht um DSC titan und Edelstahl und ggf eine DMC beschichtung

Es ist erstaunlich wie schnell man vom mindset her bei "mit Linux habe ich das nicht" landet.

Versteht mich nicht falsch. Ich Kämpfe genug mit dem Pinguin aber "wie bekomme ich die Werbung aus meinem Betriebssystem" oder "warum sucht sie OS suche immer im Web? Kann ich das abstellen"

Sind so Dinge wo ich immer denk: das ist der Grund warum ich das abgeschafft habe.

So, inzwischen haben wir nach dem Jahreswechsel auch wieder belastbare Zahlen aus der Virenbundesliga.
Tabellenführer mit Abstand ist die Grippe, und - wie prognostiziert - ganz besonders bei Kindern. Sehr viele Fälle auch in den Kliniken laut RKI. Einzige Ausnahme von der Grippedominanz: bei Kindern <2 dominiert RSV.

Tragt auf jeden Fall schön viel Maske, Grippe macht keinen Spaß, besonders ohne Impfung. Ist auch diesmal n Subtyp, der ne Weile nicht viel zu melden hatte.

@Fischblog jo. Freundin gerade 5 Tage ordentlich krank gewesen mit zeitweise 39 grad Fieber.

Ich habe mir im. November Grippe und Corona Impfung geholt. Mir gings die ganze Zeit super.

Brauch man nicht. Ist echt ekelig.

Ne Website der Filmindustrie, wo ich DRM-frei (macht halt n personalisiertes Wasserzeichen rein von mir aus) Filme in 4K oder 1080p AV1 und mit allen Sprachen, Untertiteln und Audiokommentaren kaufen kann. Ich würde 25 € pro Film zahlen. 35 € wenn's noch umfangreiches Bonusmaterial gibt.

In case you missed it: The January 1 episode of BBC's (Sheffield v Aberdeen) had a question about the "genre of dance music developed in the UK in the early 1990s out of the rave scene and reggae sound system culture, with acts like A Guy Called Gerald, and Goldie".

The answer "Drum & Bass" led to the host responding "we need Jungle I'm afraid", which caused quite a few memes & remixes.
