For me, personally, It would be Snatch. It’s such a great movie that I could watch again and again. So many interesting characters and a unique style that sets it apart from so many other movies. There’s just that extra something in that movie...
With so much note taking apps nowadays, I can’t understand why does anyone still write notes with pen and paper. You need to bring the notepad, book or that paper to retrieve that information, and most of the time you don’t have it in hand. While my phone almost always reachable and you carry when you go out. For those still...
Scratch notes all the time. I know I should keep longhand notes of my professional interactions, as they can be priceless legal records, but I’ve never been any good at it.
That’s a gut-it or rent-it situation. Nobody buying that is just going to move in. The linoleum floor, fiberboard counters, paint, layout, fixtures–every single item in that room could be vastly improved.
Twenty-some years ago I spent my first weeks in Spain. The torrefacto (not that I knew the word at the time) always stood out to me as something special, unique. The flavor (along with the shelf-stable milk they used back then) never fails to take me back to those crazy times. Nonetheless, I wouldn’t want to drink it for the rest of my life. Coffee has come so far in the last two decades. Your country is ripe to make a jump to exquisite 3rd wave coffee.
Americans’ credit card debt levels have just notched a new, but undesirable, milestone: For the first time ever, they’ve surpassed $1 trillion, according to data released Tuesday by the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.
Or maybe interest paid. I sometimes have a higher balance for the month, but I always pay it off entirely. Nonetheless, my credit score fluctuates based on the balance at the time of reporting.
This really depends on your location and profession. Those of us who live in cities and don’t need them for work really only need them for camping and emergencies. However, if you live in a dark-sky area, they’re absolutely essential.
Besides the infuriating corruption, I find the image of Thomas on the open road, behind the wheel of a Winnebago, maybe in full regalia, to be oddly humorous.
I can fall asleep almost anywhere. I routinely fall asleep in the break room at work. Once, I was helping a friend fix his car, and I fell asleep on his garage floor when he went inside to get water....
Sometimes my brain hits me with the most mundane memories, and even those bring comfort & nostalgia at times. Trying to appreciate all the little things and enjoy the moment.
A gift I’ve received from years of spiritual/psychological work and exploring has been the ability to, every once in a great while, experience and create beauty while it happens. It’s so much more pure than that vague sense of loss that comes with reminiscing.
At least two of the YouTube lads I follow are in maritime jobs. They work for a few months on a ship, then have a bunch of time off. If you just keep an inexpensive apartment somewhere, you can make a lot of travel happen with that sort of schedule. Some oilfield workers can pull similar arrangements.
Hi, this sounds like a dumb question, but how should I “get into” coffee? Most of the time, I just use a Keurig and whatever pods I find at Costco. I know there’s an entire world out there of people who know exactly what they’re doing, but it’s all quite confusing....
In terms of gear, a pour-over is a good start. You can make coffee as good as anything available with that setup. I don’t have the time, so I use use a good, temperature-controlled automatic drip.
Is it worth it? Are the controls good? I’ve been seeing it on the app store for a while now. And would love the idea of playing it while on queues or transport.
I played for a while on PC, my woman plays it to death on her iPad. I can’t imagine playing on a smaller screen than that. It’s just too busy, visually.
In the last year and a half, San Franciscans have called in more than 1 million complaints to the city’s 311 service hotline. A breakdown of those calls shows that some of the most common complaints were about trash, illegal dumping and graffiti — issues the city has struggled to keep up with since the pandemic as the public...
I’m glad the city is offering a free graffiti program.
I really can’t imagine what it would be like to own one of those buildings completely covered in graffiti, having to repaint your whole building every damn week. Logistically challenging.

How often do you use a flashlight?
Hi! As someone who doesn’t use flashlights often at all I’m quite curious how often you actually use flashlights. Are they like an everyday carry?
The opposite of "Ladies and Gentlemen" would be "Whores and Scoundrels".
Which sounds rad as fuck. Like how you’d open a speech for the Guild of Calamitous Intent.
