9 years?

Terry Pratchett left us 9 years ago today? I'm still utterly furious that Death didn't see fit to return him.
I learnt to think for myself due to Pratchett. I learnt to value others and learn from our differences. I learnt that just because lots of people say something it doesn't make it right.

Most importantly, I learnt to be me

I never met him, but I miss reading his new words more than I can explain.

Contrary to what I was taught about history as a child, I now firmly believe that Europeans didn't export civilisation, we did our level best to destroy it.

Every place we went we took greed, individualism and an erroneous sense of superiority.

That is our legacy. And now the people we bore down upon are living with most of the consequences of our actions, both historical & current.
