@RyunoKi Don't worry, I've already been through Haskell. There are two major problems for me though:
The ecosystem is not good. Incompatible GHC versions galore and dependency management is somehow even worse than JavaScript. Also there aren't as many "real-world" libraries that are still actively maintained.
Way too dense syntax. I don't think I have to explain this one.
Extremely good news:
Researchers were able to recycle a fabric blend (cotton and polyester mixed). This has been impossible so far, as any reactions attacking the polyester also destroyed the cotton.
But here is the thing: it runs at room temperature, with off-the-shelf "household" chemicals, is tolerant to all tested common contaminants in recycled fabric and was easily scalabe from micrograms to grams. Also the residue is able to be turned into polyester again. #GoodNews
I had an idea for an anonymous, authenticated, zero-trust voting system. But probably somebody else already had the same idea. Any cryptographers around who might know? #cryptography#eVoting#zeroTrust
@niko for it to work it must be public who can vote, yes. But using a method similar to K-Means anonymity it cannot be deduced which vote belongs to whom
@Pixdigit ohh alright yeah anonymous in that way but you still know the voter belongs in a big verified group. Pretty cool stuff I'm a huge cryptography nerd
@Pixdigit Meanwhile in Greece: You guys have functional trains there that aren't like an hour late and unpredictable ? Honestly just cherish the amount of public transport you do have because I can only say good things about Athen's metro lines everything else is pretty much unusable
I've been on masto quite a while now, so I think an #introduction is overdue.
Moin. I am a (soon to be finished) computer science student in Germany. My interests are #FOSS#functionalProgramming and #gamedev. I focus on 2D puzzlers but am open for more. I am also interested in human languages. Especially conlangs like #TokiPona. If able, I go climbing fairly regularly.
Sadly I am not very good at expressing myself so if I say something controversial, take it with a grain of salt.
