Scrollone,

I hate cookie banners, but I’m not villanizing the cookie law; I’m villanizing all the websites that try to spy on me

Not only a certification, but in Italy you need to be registered to a register/bar and pay a yearly fee in order to be an engineer.

It’s like being a lawyer in some ways.

Scrollone,

This is the correct answer, it includes everything a full stack dev might do

Scrollone,

The worrisome thing is that there’s no alternative other than Firefox, or Safari on Apple platforms. Every single other browser is Chromium.

We must defend Firefox at all costs, it’s the last glimmer of freedom.

Scrollone,

Personal media library? You mean… personal Linux distros collection?

Scrollone,

I filled the form Reddit sent me for their IPO with junk data. I hope many other people will do the same.

Warner Bros. is now erasing games as it plans to delist Adult Swim-published titles (www.polygon.com)

Warner Bros. Discovery is telling developers it plans to start “retiring” games published by its Adult Swim Games label, game makers who worked with the publisher tell Polygon. At least three games are under threat of being removed from Steam and other digital stores, with the fate of other games published by Adult Swim...

Scrollone,

I agree with you. If a company writes off something in order to make it with zero, then that thing should immediately fall into the public domain.

Scrollone,

I always thought my drive names changed from hdx to sdx because I started using an SSD, and yet…

You always learn something new

Scrollone,

Build a Plex/Jellyfin server while you’re at it

Scrollone,

But then you won’t be able to receive phone calls from other numbers while the phone engages in the fake conversation

Scrollone,

Also, our freaking eyes are horizontal. There’s no way around that

Scrollone,

Me too. I’ve never cared for Switch games, I don’t even have a console, but now I’m discovering many gems on my computer.

Scrollone,

This is more probable, because there’s no way the UK is ever going to accept to abandon the pound sterling and migrate to the euro after re-entry.

Scrollone,

They’re still forced to adopt it as soon as they reach some requirements. The worst player is Sweden, that’s actively trying not to reach the requirements so they can keep the crown

Scrollone,

Trust me, most people don’t even know what that star in the URL bar is for

Scrollone,

I agree with this. We should leave the door open to Threads users that may not know the Fediverse.

We can always de-federate later if Threads misbehaves.

AI-generated content and other unfavorable practices have put longtime staple CNET on Wikipedia's blacklisted sources (www.tomshardware.com)

In the wave of AI controversies and lawsuits, CNET has been publicly admonished since it first started posting thinly-veiled AI-generated content on its site in late 2022— a scandal that has culminated in the site being demoted from Trusted to Untrusted Sources on Wikipedia....

Can’t wait for that!

EVs will become more and more cheap, infrastructure will increase and everybody will benefit from that.

Soon, internal combustion cars will become an old, stupid thing of the past.

Scrollone,

Don’t just fork it, otherwise if they take down the original repo, your fork will also go down.

Download a full copy of the repo and host it yourself (on your GitHub account or GitLab, Bitbucket, etc.).

Scrollone,

Yeaj, unfortunately most TVs only have HDMI, not DP

Is therarbg safe? The original rarbg closed one or two years ago.

Also, don’t forget torrent private trackers. They’re harder to get in (signups are usually closed, or you need an invite from someone who’s already in), but they’re very good!

Lots of hight quality content, well organized, usually with many seeds.

Of course you need to follow their rules and seed enough.

Usenet is also a surprisingly good way to find content, but you’ll need to pay both an indexer and a server.

DisplayPort supports CEC.

From Wikipedia:

The DisplayPort AUX channel is a half-duplex (bidirectional) data channel used for miscellaneous additional data beyond video and audio, such as EDID (I2C) or CEC commands.

Please don’t forget to fill in the form anyway, with fake data. This will let them believe there are more interested users than reality
