Four years ago...
Trump consistently undercut efforts by agencies to slow the spread of Covid-19 while we waited for vaccines. Studies were disproving the efficacy (and in some cases, the safety) of medications not intended to treat viral infections. Yet, Trump continued to promote these non-cures because it was what many of his fans wanted to hear. Same goes for rightwing media hosts.
