Hi all @Vivaldi users, does anyone know if I can hide the window bar?

My goal here is to have a video player that can be moved around but all the UI elements are gone. No scrollbar, window bar or anything.

Maybe there is something I can do within Linux options? But I think Vivaldi have their own window bar in place.,

Any Linux users here running the @Vivaldi browser? Like an idiot, I deleted a few bookmark folders from my Speed Dial. I thought it would be simple to restore them but I'm having zero luck accomplishing this. I have sync setup and use it regularly. Is it possible to move back to a previous sync, just a day or hour before this happened?

@Vivaldi bro make it possible to manually add passwords to the password manager please? sometimes vivaldi wont prompt the user to update a password they just changed or to save when they make a new account for something (or they might misclick and refuse). cheers. (ik its probably doable already if u edit some random text file somewhere but it should be easy(er)) :vivaldi_gray: :3

Enter vivaldi://password-manager/passwords to the Address Field, to get to a page where you can add passwords.
We've yet to move the functionality to the main settings window.

So, it is fantastic that many people here are posting images here with extensive alt-text descriptions -- hooray for them.

However, now when I scroll through my timeline here, I often can not seen the images as the tooltip completely covers the image. Is there any way in Vivaldi to turn off those tool tips on a universal basis?

(I did post this on the forum but have had no luck with an answer so far!)

There doesn't seem to be any settings that can be disabled to hide Alt text tooltips, but as long as you don't hover over the ALT icon, they should not show up. 🤔

You can go to Settings > Discussion > Other Comment Settings and enable "Users must be registered and logged in to comment". That should get rid of the spam.

The signatures appear valid on our end. It could be an issue with your mail server as @epp suggested. Also, if you have forwarding set up, that might break the signature.

Okay, this getting frustrating. I'm on the Vivaldi Social instance but when I use the instance in the Vivaldi browser, if the instance sits idle for a few hours, it locks up and then crashes the browser. It can stay idle all day in Firefox and works fine when I come back to it. And again, like a few times in the past, I can no longer see Vivaldi (or tag them) here on Mastodon. I can see others on the instance just fine. I can't even reach out to them about the issue. This is why I've tried other instances in the past but moving to a new instance just pisses people off. Trust me, I've receive a few unpleasant messages about the move and then requesting a new follow.

That's bizarre! 🤔

Have you tried deleting cookies and cache for Vivaldi Social? If not, you can do it from the padlock icon on the Address Bar > Cookies and Site Data.

Also, when you try tagging us, do you type just "@Vivaldi" or "@Vivaldi"?

In the Mail Panel, error messages can be disabled (Settings > Mail > Panel > Error Messages).
