@endali When I was a kid, I always thought Star Wars's fusion of technology and magical thinking was absurd and not something a society would/could do. Turns out it was one of the most realistic things about that series.
@volpeon People tried that on NeoCities. Then companies realized that getting their pages on a real active web ring was good for SEO. Then the whole thing crashed and people abandoned the webring.
@yassie_j It was kinda wild looking up what Britain thinks Mexican food is. The nachos look like something that would be served at buffalo wild wings. 😆
Someone sent me some money with a message that I should get an electric blanket, my instinctual response to that is “thanks for the money, but I know my situation best so I’ll decide how to spend it.”
But… holy fuck an electric blanket was such a good call. Do you have any idea how OP these things are for how cheap they run? Compared to my radiator or hot water bottle this thing will have covered its own cost before the winter is out.
It took 8 years but we finally have episodes for #HazbinHotel, and its kind of a mess. So far its been an entertaining mess, more so than Helluva Boss, so I probably will keep watching.
I can't tell if they retconed Angel's drug addiction, or if thats not
the focus of the show yet. The character is fucking named Angel Dust so like I thought this was a core part of the character. If not then I guess it was just needlessly edgy.
Going to make the American classic, mac and chees— oh, it’s actually a British dish? Oh, huh. Well, I’m going to make the British classic, macaroni cheese.
I completely redesigned my website. Now you have a similar viewing experience using FireFox, NetSurf, or Lynx. I also wrote a post on the state of the web in 2024, and that explains why I thought the redesign was needed.
"But YouTube is now a money making place, a potential gold mine where content creating prospectors seek ad revenue, Patreon money, and the sponsorship. The American Dream manifested as a URL. Gone are the days of making videos for fun. The possibility of striking a silver or gold play button always looms large."
