J’écris des bugs mais principalement en open source donc ça va. Je fais plus confiance aux sapiens qu’aux ordinateurs, c’est-à-dire pas beaucoup. Quand je serai grand je serai capitaine de vélo de train et de bateau (j’en suis à deux sur trois). On mérite pas les chiens.

I'm split about Netflix's "3 Body Problem". I found episode 5 to be excellent, while the rest of the series is a boring and badly performed sequence of clichés. The idea in general is interesting, though.

I want to believe the adaptation has failed, and that the original books are actually much better than this.

@akosma I was slightly curious about the series, even though I didn’t really enjoy the books. I was hooked at the beginning of the first book — the idea of a planned alien invasion is fascinating — but it only goes downwards from here. I hated the ending 🤷

Target-Action (^1) is, (was) the quintessential objective-C/Cocoa/NextSTEP pattern. Ironically, the proposal (^2) does not acknowledge this.

@ciredutempsEsme il y a une partie de moi qui se demande (pas longtemps parce que bon) si sa stratégie c’était pas « qu’est-ce que je peux faire qui mettra le plus possible Télérama en pls » et que ça a backfire. J’aurais trouvé ça rigolo comme démarche artistique mais je lui prête sans doute de bonnes intentions.

    It’s quiet something that it’s 2024 and I want to demonstrate making a basic counter web app accessible but I can’t do it on my state of the art Linux machine running today’s Fedora Silverblue because Fedora (and any other Linux distribution that ships with Wayland by default) doesn’t have a functional screen reader and, having just tried it on macOS, I see that VoiceOver reads negative values in text nodes as positive values.

    But, hey, at least we have AI, amirite?

    @aral does VO maybe interpret "- 12" has "(dash) twelve", like a list item? Could it be a deliberate decision, to prevent the dash-lists to be read as “minus”?
    (Have you tried using U+2212 (minus sign) instead of U+002D (the basic hyphen-minus sign)?)

    Tiens, question wikipedia (puisqu’on en parle): si une page a été écrite sur une personne, et que cette personne a envie de supprimer cette page, est-ce que son avis est pris en compte ?

    Je parle pas de retirer une section “polémiques et procès”, hein. Quelque chose comme “Je suis vaguement connu dans mon milieu, mais ça m’intéresse pas d’avoir une page wikipedia à mon nom, merci mais non.”

    Fascinating: if I try to open System Settings while CodeRunner is in the foreground, then instead of just launching the app, macOS somehow asks CodeRunner to open it.

    Feels like a launch services file type association bug—but what's being the active app got to do with it?

    @Natouille Il y a toujours trainline europe for business, c’est l’ancien capitaine train avec une moustache. Y’a pas besoin d’être vraiment un business et de base y’a pas de frais supplémentaire.
