    So, inzwischen haben wir nach dem Jahreswechsel auch wieder belastbare Zahlen aus der Virenbundesliga.
    Tabellenführer mit Abstand ist die Grippe, und - wie prognostiziert - ganz besonders bei Kindern. Sehr viele Fälle auch in den Kliniken laut RKI. Einzige Ausnahme von der Grippedominanz: bei Kindern <2 dominiert RSV.

    Tragt auf jeden Fall schön viel Maske, Grippe macht keinen Spaß, besonders ohne Impfung. Ist auch diesmal n Subtyp, der ne Weile nicht viel zu melden hatte.

    Official English grammar, and thus also Grammarly, always try to correct me when I end the quote and then the sentence. Might be wrong in case of speech and actual quotes, but for tech, your password case is exactly why I don't follow grammar here.

    Ich habe ja schon lange keine Hoster mehr empfohlen, weil ich mit allen so meine größeren oder kleineren Problemchen hatte.

    Aber ein Kunde ist vor ein paar Jahren zu https://www.aditsystems.de/ gewechselt und ich kann nur schwärmen. Super Reaktionszeit und immer konstruktiv an individuellen Lösungen interessiert.

    After clearing out our office, it's (finally) time to get rid of "some" stuff.
    This includes:

    • Mikrotik RB1100AHx2
    • HP 1910/3com switches
    • KVM over IP devices (PS2/USB/VGA, 8 and 16 ports, with matching cables)
    • PDU units with eight power-out ports and a serial interface to switch and meter
    • 2x Intel servers with 4x1G (in use with BalanceNG load balancer)

    Handover here in or shipped (for shipment cost).

    @jpmens actually, I learned to love it as well.
    While a central syslog server (or similar) helps to get a more extensive grasp - "journalctl -u $UNIT.service" really keeps the appropriate messages together, including those that are not directly related to the application. This shows especially in programs that call others, e.g., with sudo, like the (IPMI) exporters for Prometheus. I wouldn't have that sense by simply grepping for a program/PID in the syslog.

    I remember the first IBM AT machines with two 5,25'' floppies - our first PC (Schneider 386!) at home had a whopping 20MB of hard drive.
    A colleague of my dad once said: "Every hard drive will be full". In 1990. And it's still true.

    @kaia every ATM should be able to hand those out.
    If you want to exchange existing money (e.g., 1x100€ to 20x5€ bills), go to your local Bundesbank branch. They are there to handle (physical) cash without any extra charges.

    In einer Welt, in der offene Protokolle das Ende der Gatekeeper eingelaeutet haben, gibt es keine Ausreden mehr wenn es darum geht sich gegen wirre Content-Policies der Plattformen zu positionieren. zieht bei die Reissleine!

    Anstand ist nicht verhandelbar & genau deshalb verlasse ich die Plattform, die Nazi-Content monetarisiert.

    Gestern ÖBB- nach Brüssel und zurück gebucht, und das algorithmische Preissystem ist in der Tat seltsam. Reisedatum in 4 Wochen, und der Standard-Ticketpreis ist gleich dem Sparschiene-Preis. Ich zahle also das, was ich normalerweise bei langer Buchungsvorlaufzeit zahlen würde, kann aber bis 1 Tag vor Abreise kostenlos stornieren. Wem bringt das was?

    Schlafwagenaufschlag für Triple- und Double-Abteil moderat, lediglich für Single wäre er exorbitant (der Teil ergibt Sinn).

    @spaetzlesmasher @xahteiwi @sebwilken naja, das ist IMHO erklärbar. Die Vorgabe wird sein "nur gleiches Geschlecht im Abteil".
    Wenn jetzt nur 5% diverse Buchungen wären, wäre das unrentabel und somit werden nur Einzelabteile zugewiesen.
    Wenn du zu zweit buchst, ist m/w/d ja auch egal.

    Are any of you aware of a contemporary issue tracker system that is in reasonably widespread use, has email integration, and will

    • parse an incoming message's In-Reply-To or References headers,
    • check whether they contain any message IDs that are referenced in already-tracked issues, and then
    • link it to that issue/those issues automatically,

    even if the sender has messed with the email subject, potentially removing the issue ID?
