The default mastodon interface sucks, Elk is a bit better but lacks functionality. The default app is also bad, Tusky is only a little bit better, but feels like something from 2010.

@gsuberland I guess I have very low tolerance for bad ux, same reason why I can't stand freecad, gimp, blender, or inkscape. I don't get how it doesn't bother anyone else, are their expectations so low? Anytime I open the app or website I get triggered and can't wait to close it :/

@gsuberland It also doesn't help that so many posts here sound like people think they are so much better than because they use mastodon. I don't know if the ux affects my mood when I read the posts or what, but I don't see it anywhere else, even Twitter.
