I just played the roguelike Into Ruins by @ericb and I'm really impressed. The game is great and the atmosphere and level generation are fantastic. I will definitely play again when I have more time.

I was also delighted to discover there's technical info for it, explaining how they approached the level generation, etc.

If you like roguelikes you should give it a go!

Hello mastodon I don't know my way around here but just wanted to take a look at what it was all about. I'm mainly interested in game development blogs and deep dives into in-progress indie projects!

If you can recommend some accounts and or tags around here to follow that would be neat! Tried searching tags but it's hard to tell how much people use them. I'm new!

@jake4480 Yeah! played the first open beta and loved it, it was surprisingly evil and fun. I was really cautious at first because D3 was a huge disappointment for me. I was a big D2 fan and wasted too many years on battle.net when I was younger. 😅

I'm tempted to get it when it comes out because Diablo has a big place in my heart tbh

@jake4480 Yeah I feel like they totally changed the art direction with diablo3, which wasn't my cup of tea at all. But Diablo4 really remedies that, it's os beautifully dark, I love it.

As for resurrected, I impluse bought it when it released... I was nostalgic. I made a sorc and a hammerdin and got them to levels 85+ or something... I quit playing after a while though. It's nice that the chars no longer get deleted after 90 days on b.net, though 😀

@jake4480 never tried immortal tbh, don't think I would. And yeah, they deleted them. I had several accounts that I revived every once in a while until I gave up on that 😅

@jake4480 yup. I had really good characters too. I ended up never returning to the game after that. If it wasn't for resurrected I probably would never touch it again!

Hi! This is my first time posting on Mastodon, hope I'm doing it right...

I've recently completed update 1.1 For Xenospore, a strategic puzzle game about defending humanity from an alien corruption.

I've released the game about 9 months ago and worked on the update on my free time since then, so I'm really happy to have finally reached this moment.
