Climbing the step ladder, I poked my head over the gutter and mama Robin gave me a nasty stare before flying off in a fury of flapping wings yielding a big surprise. The gutter cleaning project is tabled for now.

So this was concerning when I got home from work and opened the mailbox. It’s a MAGA letter from a neighbor. We found the neighbor responsible in two minutes in voter registrations. We live on a culdesac. And the guy who wrote the letter lives behind the house on the other side of the culdesac. 75 yards maybe. One of the cons of living in the outer burbs on the edge of civilization. It’s all rural to the south and west.

Eno’s formative album shaped my music taste completely explaining much of the reason I currently enjoy DJ Alex & Pacific Notions each Sunday morning on KEXP. They’re both treasures. The first time I heard Music for Airports was at Chicago O’Hare traveling the flat escalator between terminals. Somehow I found the the music again, probably from the Trinity College radio station. Or possibly Rolling Stone. But who knows?

At the hospital with Bob who’s getting another MRI on his back to make sure it’s not getting any worse. Got my first birthday gift from the anesthesia doc who found out today’s my day.

Bob, with is disability, could only decorate two Christmas trees this year. The big one is taking a rest for now. Sam will be thrilled with the tree in his room.

Sam and dad hiked the new park in Akron in the Cuyahoga River Valley on an overcast fall-like day. We just visited Sam’s sister and brother-in-law who live just on the other side of the valley.

Some pics from yesterday in a walk with Sam at the museum at Rogues Hollow in Doylestown. The Hollow is a geologically sunken area through rocky terrain with a stream going through. The vegetation is dense so little sun gets through and it feels more like a rain forrest. Then we discovered more.
