Hey @cliffwade @beardedtechguy do you know what kind of self hosting you want to move all things tech to? Is it just the mastodon instance or all the other components like the blog too?

@cliffwade @armerpunkt Sorry, yesterday was one hell of a day. But as Cliff mentioned, we just want to self host to have better control of the features. I’d like to have another person on hand that can help when I’m not available.

We have looked at hetzner, but we have our other properties on DO.

Today was my first official pay-day as a full-time employee instead of a contractor that I've been for over 8 1/2 years.

It's so nice to get a real paycheck with taxes taken out, benefits taken out and all of that.

Sucks that the government takes so much damn money, but it's going to be much nicer come tax time when I have to file!

@cliffwade How did you fill out your form? I always fill out mine as single, 0 dependents even though I have kids. They take out more of check but come tax time, you get more back.

Just the usual work for me. Trying to get a plan together to send to boss for foundation of MSP side of business and future growth. Has been pain to get it all together and completed. Then it’s a new school week so I’ll be seeing what work there is.

Started the day with a nice meeting with the Ambassador leader and Sopranos leader for @Vivaldi as well as with @beardedtechguy this morning.

Was nice to get to meet these two ladies who do so much for the community in various ways.

For me, it's the usual work stuff today along with editing a huge database that we're working on. I also have all the email stuff as well.

Fortnite with friends tonight as we normally do and then not much of anything else.
