Premise: “Harriet, who thinks that no real man compares to Mr. Darcy, is transported into Pride & Prejudice and gets an unexpected chance to find out.”
@forpeterssake@bookstodon “An American in Austen" is also vaguely close to "Lost in Austen" where this time a Brit discovers a secret door that takes her to Meryton where she swaps places with Lizzie who heads to the 21st C. “Lost in Austen" is fun if such things entice you.
Did anyone catch #LoveandJane last night on Hallmark? No? Have I got you covered!
Premise: Lilly, a hopeless romantic and literary enthusiast, is surprised when her wish to talk to her favorite author comes true and #JaneAusten herself appears in her life.
@forpeterssake@bookstodon I go into these not expecting much because they /are/ Hallmark movies. I would not rewatch "Paging Mr Darcy" but I would watch “Love & Jane" again if I happened to catch it on TV. I AM excited for the new period adaptation of #SenseandSensiblity which is the last movie of the month.
@EricBranse@bookstodon I cannot recall how many times I’ve read P+P. I usually give it a whirl, and Austen's other books, every couple of years. I'm a HUGE sucker for book and movie/TV adaptations!
