I see it referenced constantly here, not quite as much on Reddit. I know what it means, but just wondering why such the popularity over on this side of the fence?
Iโve been drinking so much coconut water (with pulp) this week. Iโve been craving it like crazy and realized that itโs straight up my drink of choice when the temp is 75F and over.
I donโt mean for this to become a KDE vs GNOME post. Iโm looking at switching to Fedora (because Arch is a pain), and it seems that GNOME is more supported. I use KDE on Arch. What features would I be losing if I were to switch? (ex: toolbar management, KRunner, etc.)
I personally really hate the term โpay their fair shareโ because if itโs implications. I would much rather hear something like โpay like the rest of usโ because itโs about percentages, not actual dollars.
Iโve enjoyed Mark Roberโs videos for a while now. They are fun, touch on accessible topics, and have decent production value. But this recent video isnโt sitting right with me...
Remember when he faked his first fart bomb video because he used his friends to play the part of the porch pirates? That was years ago.
Edit: My memory was a little fuzzy on exactly the nature of the incident was. See my follow up comment for a link to an article that explains what actually happened.
Iโve been an elementary OS user for something like 7 years. And Iโve been running Linux as my only OS since 1999. Previously I had been running Ubuntu since warty warthog, but switched to elementary when Ubuntu introduced their horrible unity desktop.
elementary is a great Linux distribution, and is a great user experience. The ONLY 2 negatives that I can think of are that it lags other distros because itโs based on Ubuntu LTS releases, and it has no upgrade mechanism so you have to wipe and reinstall with each release.
I use it for work, gaming, and all my various side projects and havenโt had any issues with any of those. Give it a go and see if it feels right for you.
